ontd_political is a racist, bigoted community that allows intolerance toward a certain group of people. The mods are bullies and racist. I had a falling out with them but if you follow the whole story you will see how they allow people to instigate other people and won't step in until it's too late anyway. I took it to the mods and they did nothing but call ME a racist, no matter what I said or asked, then they misquoted a comment I made, leaving the misquotation up where everyone can see, and when I Emailed them about it I received this response in return- You are a raging racist and no1curr about your butthurt. Bye.
It sounds funny, and actually it is, but it is also extremely frustrating that Live Journal is allowing a community to not only exist but to be featured as a spotlight community when it allows extreme hate and intolerance against a certain race. I made my mistakes in the original post (dated February 21 if you want to look for it) and inside my journal you will see the final letter I sent them about it (under the tag "issues"), but my bad actions does not excuse the bad actions of others. It was my very first comment at the community and I made a huge mistake by saying something I never should have and then got caught up in retaliating. But that doesn't mean I should be singled out as the racist. Shame on ONTD for allowing such bad mods to mod over a community and shame on LJ for allowing the racist hate talk to exist in a community they sponsor. (For example, someone accused me of having "white girl issues" and was called a "dumb f*ck" but when I responded with "... go wallow in your "I'm a black woman" puddle", (in response to someone thinking they had to convince me they were an oppressed black woman) I got called the racist.) If I AM a racist, I don't want to be and I'm going to work on not being one. Maybe the mods at ONTD_P will follow my example.
